| Malik exhorts students to equip best with latest knowledge | | | Early Times Report Srinagar, July 23 Minster for Higher Education, Labour and Employment Abdul Gani Malik has exhorted upon the student community to equip themselves with the latest knowledge as they are the future of a healthy society. The Minister said this while speaking at a Symposium titled as “Global Warming” organized by the Degree College, Budhal yesterday. The minister said that the space of the Degree College, Budhal would be expanded shortly as the same has been acquired for making it one of the best colleges of the state. He gave on spot instructions for the construction of a road link connecting the College with the Bus Stand. The Minister assured the College authorities that the shortage of the teaching and non-teaching staff would be addressed and sanctioned very soon. Managing Director, Higher Education, Dr N D Wani, former minister Puran Singh, District Prisident NC Bashir Ahmad Wani and Liaqat choudhary also attended the function. Earlier, scintillating cultural programme by the students of the College was highly appreciated by the audiences. The Minister also addressed a public meetings at Budhal, Samot, Thalni and Kot Ranka during his tour. He said that Budhal and its adjoining areas are full of tourism potential and the same would be explored to bring the area on the tourist map. He said that a Tourist reception center (TRC) be established in Budhal to attract the tourists. Enroute the Minister also inspected different government offices and asked the functionaries to work with dedication and missionary spirit and help the poor and needy.
