| Mushtaq gets National Fellowship | | | Early Times Report Srinagar, July 24- Young theatre director Mushtaq Ali Ahmed Khan has been awarded the prestigious National Senior Fellowship 2009’ by Department of Culture for his incredible excellence and contribution in the field of art and culture. Post graduate from Kashmir University Mushtaq has been chosen keeping in view his extra ordinary work which he has rendered for propagating and promoting the theatre of the State of Jammu and Kashmir at national level. He has the credit for creating a Cultural Revolution in J&K through theatre and bringing the youth together through his plays. He has performed at the remotest corners of the State creating cultural awareness amongst the youth. He has directed more than 50 plays in different languages spoken in India and conducted more than 100 workshops of theatre in Kashmir valley. He is the first film maker from J&K who produced and directed documentaries for UGC’s countrywide classroom through AVRC of Kashmir University. The documentary film titled “Kashmiri Music” produced and directed by him in1994 was screened in the International Film Festival organized by Films Division and J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages in Srinagar.
