Akhoon visits accident site at Sonamarg

Srinagar, July 24-Minister for CA&PD, Qamar Ali Akhoon on Friday visited Sonamarg to personally monitor the operation launched by the police following an accident, in which a Tata Indica car fell into River Sindh.
Four passengers including driver were on board in the ill-fated vehicle. The driver of the vehicle namely Ghulam Hassan Dagga of Kawadara, who got injured in the mishap has been shifted to SKIMS for treatment.
The Police have so far recovered the body of Farooq Ahmad Bhat while the efforts are on to trace two others. The dead body has been handed over to his family members.
Akhoon, expressing deep grief over the mishap, prayed for peace to the departed soul. He also expressed sympathies with the bereaved families.
Meanwhile, the Minister has also condoled the demise of one Mohammad Bakar (Police Constable), who died in an accident at Kargil yesterday.
The Minister was accompanied by District Commissioner, Ganderbal and Superintendent of Police during his visit at the accident site.
