| IGP Armed exhorts his men to take up challenges vigorously | | | Early times Report Srinagar July 24 Dilbag Singh, IPS, IGP Armed Police, visited Battalion Hqr of IRP-4th, IRP-2nd at Batamaloo and IRP-5th and AP 11th at Humhama on July 23 and interacted with his men during this visit. Police spokesperson said that during the course of inspection at Batamaloo, administrative block, barracks, stores and quarter guard were inspected by IGP. ‘The armed police Bns put up an impressive show at both the places and presented ceremonial guards, he said. Speaking to his men IGP Armed Dilbagh Singh said, “ The services of officers and men of the Armed Police Bns were admirable for the beautiful show they put up and the excellent performance of duties during the law and order, security, Shri Amar Nath Ji Yatra, Assembly/Parliament election duties in the State.’ He also conveyed the felicitations of the DGP J&K Kuldeep Khoda, IPS to the officers and men of the armed police for the excellent performance of their duties in the past. IGP also took stock of the stores/equipment (clothing) and welfare activities of the officers /men in these armed Bns. Thereafter a police darbar was held to take stock of the administrative needs of the Bns where in NGO’s/ jawans presented their needs and genuine problems. Most of the issues were related to individual welfare cases which were attended to on the spot and action on some of which shall follow within next couple of days. During his visit to Humhama, the IGP Singh inspected the entire campus housing IRP-5th and AP 11th Bns. The IGP appreciated the role played by the armed police for maintenance of peace and order in the State and urged them to be prepared for future assignments in the interest of the State.
