Early Times Report Jammu, July 25: A group of ten students drawn from various schools of the Jammu region participated in total solar eclipse observation camp organized at national level on July 22 at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The camp was organized by Vigyan Prasar in collaboration with Rashtriya Vigyan Avam Prodyogki Sanchar Parishad, department of science and technology govt. of India. It was for the first time that the students and teachers of the state got an opportunity to interact there ideas with renowned national scientist like Prof. Yash Pal, Biman Basu including other scientist who came from different parts of the country. On the day of total solar eclipse a delegation of students and teachers from Jammu got knowledge about the cause of total solar eclipse and its effects on the earth and environment, and facts regarding myth about the solar eclipse which different people projected in different ways since from ages, during the participation natural facts about total eclipse was projected and award among the masses. Members of the delegation who participated in the camp at Bhopal were Zaffar Ullah Khan (state coordinator), Sweety Gupta (organizer), Kuldeep Gupta, teacher, boys hr. sec. school Gandhi Nagar, Surjeet Singh, teacher, govt. hr. sec. school, Sohanjana, Minisha Sharma, teacher, govt. girls high school, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. Students who participated were Rajan Singh, Sumit Verma and Pardeep Kumar of govt. HSS (boys), Gandhi Nagar, Manish and Manik of K.V. No. 1 Gandhi Nagar, Akshat, Sweenu and Devanshu of Dream Land Public School, New Plot, Zeehsan of Little Flower Hr. Sec. School, Greater Kailash, and Mehak Gupta of Hr. sec. school, Mubarak Mandi, Jammu.
