7/26/2009 12:02:45 AM

Early Times Report
Jammu, July 25- Dubbing National Conference as ‘mother of all problems’, leaders of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today asserted that they would not remain a mute spectator to the misdeeds of the ruling party and would come on streets to expose the divisive policies of the ruling National Conference.
Addressing a meeting of the district and zonal presidents, party leaders cautioned the people against nefarious designs of ruling National Conference. The meeting was convened by district president Jammu rural Baldev Singh and held under the chairmanship of Trilok Singh Bajwa, former Rajya Sabha member. It was decided in the meeting to hold foundation day function on July 28.
PDP leaders said that National Conference leaders have been creating confusion on the issue of Central University only to create wedge between Jammu and Kashmir for petty political gains.
“It is history of the National Conference to divide people on religious and regional lines to remain in power”, they said and reminded the party workers that whenever National Conference attained power such issues were raked up to accomplish the divisive agenda of this party. They said that instead of concentrating on solving day to day problems of the masses NC led coalition regime was more particular about giving provocative statements to divert attention of the masses towards failure of this regime
Calling up the workers to educate the masses about program s and policies of PDP, they said that it was only during the three year tenure of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed that equal treatment was given to all the three regions of the State. “NC leadership should learn a lesson from Mufti Mohammad Sayeed how to treat all regions equally”, they said and reminded that during the PDP led regime equal number of Colleges and Universities were allotted in Jammu and Kashmir provinces.
Former Rajya Sabha member Trilok Singh, former Minister Manjit Singh, Ved Mahajan, Daman Bhasin, Shanti Devi, Falail Singh, Baldev Slathia, R K Bali, Surjeet Kour, Chuni Lal, B D Gorkha, Tarseem Saini, Chatter Saini, Chander Slathia, Sohit Sharma and Harmet Singh also spoke on the occasion.
