| Court grants 10 days remand of 3 accused allegedly involved in Cocaine smuggling case | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 25: Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) today produced accused in the Court Special Municipal Magistrate Jammu for remand. The Court granted 10 days remand of three accused.. The accused Pritam Singh an IRP Jawan and Vishal Gupta were arrested on July 23, 2009 while Munish Khosla was arrested on July 24, 2009 and another accused Ricky Verma was still absconding.
It is worthwhile to mention here the NCB team on July 23, 2009 intercepted a Maruti car and recovered cocaine weighing 600 gram worth Rs 50 lakhs in the international market and started investigation. During investigation it was revealed that other accused Munish Khosla and Ricky Verma were also involved in the racket. While the team arrested three accused on the spot however, Ricky Verma managed to escape from the vehicle.
