821 pilgrims leave for Amarnath Shrine

Jammu, July 25
A fresh batch of 821 pilgrims, including 70 women, 13 children and 345 sadhus, today left for Amarnath cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas amid tight security cover, an official spokesman said.
A convoy of 23 vehicles, including 20 State Road Transport Corporation buses, and three LMVs left the Yatri Bhawan here at 0455 hrs, the spokesman added.
Two-month Amarnath pilgrimage started from shorter Baltal route on June 15, after a weeks delay from the schedule, while the traditional Pahalgam-Chandanwari route was opened for yatris on June 26.
