| Charak inspects work in Srinagar City | | | Srinagar, September 27 - Minister for Works, Mr. Gulchain Singh Charak has exhorted upon the engineer to redouble their efforts and accelerate the pace of work on all development projects to complete them well in time. Mr Charak today visited various areas of Srinagar and inspected various under execution projects in the city which included Haj House Bemina being constructed at a cost of Rs.13.33 crore, upgradation work of six lane road from Jehangeer Chowk to Qumerwari at a cost of Rs.13 crore. Besides he also took stock of the pace of progress of various interior city roads which includes, Khanyar-Zaidibal road, Rainawari, Suitang, Nallah Mar roads. A team of senior engineers accompanied the Minister during the city tour. The Minister stressed upon the engineers to complete all the projects well in time and ensure that 80% physical achievements on the projects by end of October 2006 as per the instructions of Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad. At the inspection sites the minister interacted with the people and assured them that the present government under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad will provide better road connectivity facilities to the people residing in every nook and corner of the state. He appealed the people to give their full cooperation for eradication of corruption from the society and also called upon them to monitor the working of developmental projects coming up in their areas. |
