DC Samba refutes allegations, warns action be taken if NH blocks again

Samba, July 26: Traffic on National Highway was remained suspended for about 3 hours following by the protest by residents of the Jatwal. People Jatwal blocked National Highway and demanded arrest of the accused who after assaulted one Kulbushan Kumar son of Master Chaman Lal resident of Jatwal escaped from the spot. The rage of the people was pacified only after the intervention of Member Parliament Choudhary Lal Singh, DC Samba Sourab Bhagat and SDPO Samba Ramsingh Charak. Alleging police’s negligence to arrest the accused residents of the area said that police have adopted bias attitude and have not lodged section 307 RPC against the accused. They demanded inquiry into the incident. Where as police have said that they have arrested two accused involved in the incident and manhunt has been launched to arrest the third. DC Samba Sourab Bhagat when contacted informed that he personally checked the police register and saw section 307 RPC registered against the accused. He also warned people to block National Highway in future as it created chaos and suffering to commuters.

Pertinent to mention here that few days back Kulbushan Kumar was having supper in a dhaba when he engaged in a clash with three other persons who were also having supper in the same dhaba.In the ensuing Kulbushan was assaulted by trio identified as Rakesh Singh,Rajesh Singh and Raman with sharp edged weapon.After the incident accused rushed from the spot leaving him in a pool of blood. Police after having information reached on the spot and rushed victim to the hospital and arrested two accused namely Rakesh Singh and Rajesh Singh but Raman son of Bansi Lal resident of Aarst is still absconding. People were pacified by MP Choudhary Lal Singh with the assurance that accused will be held soon.
