Oppn parties to corner Jk govt in assembly
Srinagar, July 26 Jammu and Kashmir government, which was at the receiving end during the first six months of its formation, is likely to face a tough time as opposition parties have geared up to corner it in the state assembly which meets here tomorrow for budget session.
Alleged rape and murder of Asiya (17) and her sister-in- law Neelofar (22) in Shopian, human rights violations and alleged discrimination with the Jammu region are some of the issues likely to dominate the proceedings.
The 21-member PDP, 11-member BJP and three-member National Panthers Party have made known their intentions to raise different issues while government has also prepared itself to counter the opposition charges.
The state government, which would present its first full fledged budget on August 10, will attack the main opposition PDP for alleged bunglings in Auqaf Board.
