| Congress High Command assures of justice with Jammu: NSUI | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 27- The National Students Union of India the only student’s organization working in all the three regions of the state and the most important player in secular and constructive student activism, has put forward its stand about the issue of Central University. Addressing media persons here today the state President NSUI Abdul Rashid Choudhary said that the NSUI has strongly pleaded the cause of Jammuties for setting up Central University at the proposed site at Samba in Jammu with the party command during their meeting at New Delhi recently. He said NSUI also urged the HRD ministry to make a committee for taking the decision on location of academic institutions at their own, resisting the political and vested interests. Rashid said that the party high command has categorically assured NSUI that the already sanctioned university would be established in Jammu region only. However they would try to get another CU for Kashmir region later. He warned the people of Jammu and Kashmir State not to fall prey to the evil designs of the communal, antinational and antisocial elements trying to take the advantage of the present scenario and appealed them to agitate peacefully. He lambasted the so- called student organizations for disturbing the class work and appealed them to adopt other means of peaceful protest without affecting the class work, if they are really concerned about the future of students and not play politics at cost of their studies. He said that it has become crystal clear that C.U would be established in Jammu region. He further revealed that NSUI would keep on fighting for the cause of the students of Jammu and Kashmir State, until and unless the Central University gets established in Jammu Region. Charanjeet Singh Chiku State General Secretary, Sushant Gupta State General Secretary, Bagwasher Sharma Jammu University President, Banu Partab and Varun Kumar were also present at the press conference.
