| HG Association condemn Govt’s dilly dallying tactics | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 27- All J&K Home-Guard Welfare Association, Jammu today expressed its grave concern over the callous attitude of the government in resolving their long pending demand of regularization. In a press conference, Kamla Sharma, president of the Association while condemning the dilly-dallying tactics of the state government towards their demands said that the association was under compulsion to intensify its stir as the state government was not paying any heed towards their long pending demands. She said in spite of assurances given by the Chief Minister three months ago, their demands have not been fulfilled so far. She urged the government to have a sympathetic look at the demands put-forth by the association. She said that government had promised them that it would regularize home guards when Congress comes to power but promise proved to be a hoax. The association also appealed to the Chief Minister to regularize them and convert all the home-guards into regular force. The demands highlighted included regularization of home-guard personnel, enhancement of wages keeping in view the present price hike of commodities. The association has threatened to intensify its protest if their demands are not met. It is to mention that Home guards were on protest dharna outside Divisional Commissioner office from about three years. Later, the members of Home Guards staged protest demonstration against the state government’s apathetic attitude
