| NC now befooling people of Jammu by displaying misleading ads | | | CHAMAN KAUL
JAMMU, JULY 27: While Kashmir valley is struggling to come out dilemmatic situation prevailing for the last two months there and Jammu region read to boil here over the issue of shifting of Central University (CU), National Conference (NC) did not let the chance to befool the people of Jammu by displaying advertisement in a local daily through its Jammu based workers. Workers in the advertisement extended thanks to Chief Minister for sanctioning Central University one each at Kashmir and one at Jammu, not only this, workers have also extended gratitude to Omar Abdullah for announcing two IIMs and two IIITs one in Kashmir and one Jammu.
But the question arises that when, where and how come Chief Minister could announce establishing of Central Universities, IIMs and IIIT at the time when coalition partner and PCC chief Saif-Din-Soz said that proposal will be taken up with central government in New-Delhi. One partner is talking of proposal and the other is announcing besides knowing it well that all funding and managing is the prerogative of the centre. Leaving aside sixty years of political dominance of Kashmiri politicians, coming over the party discipline of NC which straight way indicates that there is communication gap between the workers and the party high command or the act is simply meant to befool people politically.
Provincial President NC, Rattan Lal Gupta when asked about the advertisement said he did not have any information neither was he informed about it because of being out of station. Chander Mohan Sharma could not be contacted despite several efforts. Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party senior leader and MLA Ramnagar while sheding light over the issue said that government should have first established the one CU already sanctioned by Centre Government then they should have moved for other one. In fact government is unable to deliver on the issues and is playing misleading politics.
“People in ruling party there selves give statements and advertisements which yield nothing other than controversy; I don’t see any fun in displaying the advertisement which did not have logically any meaning” said state President BJp Ashok Kahjuria and added that instead of politicizing issues pertaining to the common masses should be sort out in the interest of people irrespective of region and religion.
“We will never allow the centre university to be shifted from Jammu, as it is conducive location wherein aspirants from across the country could come and seek education, said a student and added that it is the Kashmiri politicians who politicize every issue in the interest of people of Jammu region. People of Jammu have have become aware of their rights and responsibilities, he added.
