| KHC demands compensation for reconstruction of yatri bhawan at Handwara | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 28: The activists of Kashmir hindu conference (KHC) have urged upon the state government to compensate liberally for the reconstruction of yatri bhawan at Handwara in district Kupwara, which got damaged due to un-precidented hail storm recently. M.L. Thusoo who chaired the meeting of the KHC workers said that yatri Bhawan has been damaged beside immovable property of migrants at Batrigram has also been damaged due to the hail storm. He said yatri bhawan after a long struggle yatri bhawan was constructed. Converner of KHC, P.L. Kaul Badgami in his address urged upon the government to set up central university at Jammu as decided earlier and IIIT at Kashmir and another. IIM at Jammu and added undue favour in this matter is bound to cause resentment in Jammu. In order to save the situation the govt. should strictly adhere to setting up central university at Jammu and IIIT at Kashmir without any delay, he said. K.L. Ganju stressed upon the govt. to issue orders in favour of the migrants unemployed youth whose consent letters have already been sought in feb. 2008. The stepmotherly treatment made to migrants so far needs justice in their favour. The others who spoke in the meeting include S.N. Raina, M.L. Daftri, A.K. Sadhu, A.K. Bhat, M.L. Koul, M.L. Mantoo and Beauty Pandita.
