Fani leads protest, ciriticizes coalition govt.

Jammu, July 27: On the call of Low paid employees federation hundreds of employees staged a massive protest dharna, procession and rally at Bhaderwah under the leadership of Abdul Hafeez Fani Member state committee of All J&K Low paid employees federation. The protest demonstration was held against anti employees and anti people policies of state govt.
Earlier in the morning employees staged a massive Dharna outside the office of SDM Bhaderwah and a memorandum of demands was also submitted to SDM on the occasion by a deputation of employees. Later the employees took out a massive procession which after passing through various bazaars of the Bhaderwah town converted into a public rally at Seri Bazar Bhaderwah. The rally was presided over by Lov Kumar president PHE employees association. The employees were raising slogans in support of their demands and against PHE minister of J&K state. The local people also joined the rally.
While addressing the rally Abdul Hafeez Fani member state committee of All J&K low paid employees federation severally criticized the state government for its anti employees and anti people policies. He stressed upon the govt. to remove the anomalies created during the revision of pay, pension and perks in respect of state employees and pensioners. He demanded implementation of 6th pay commission report, grant of HRA and other allowances at par with central govt. employees besides payment of pay revision arrears in two installments on central pattern. He made a strong plea for enhancement of medical allowances to Rs 500/- per month besides release of DA installment from January 2009.
Fani further demanded adequate ration supply for the people of Bhaderwah and urged the authorities to remove scarcity of ration and also rate lists be fixed and checked by authorities and supply of kerosene oil to people of Bhaderwah without any delay.
He criticized the PHE minister for his anti employees attitude and demanded immediate revocation of order for the transfer of PHE employees. He assured full support and cooperation of federation to PHE employees association in their struggle. Fani also appealed to the public at large organize themselves and struggle for their genuine rights and assured whole hearted support on the part of LPEF.
Besides Lov Kumar president PHE employees association, Mushtaq Ahmad Mangnoo, F.A. Fidai, Abdul Latief, Mehboob Khabeeb, Anand Pal Gupta, Suresh Kumar also addressed the rally.
