| PDP organizes several functions to celebrate its foundation day | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 28- In connection with the celebration of its foundation day, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), organized various functions across Jammu region. The main function was held at Jammu in which all senior leaders of the party participated.
Speaking on the occasion party leaders said that only PDP can solve the basic problems of the common masses. They asked the people to compare three year regime of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed with decades’ long mis-governance of National Conference. They further said that Mufti Mohammad Sayeed as Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir has set an example of good governance and created a path of equal development in the State.
Lambasting the National Conference led coalition for its failure to solve basic problems of the common masses they reminded the people that during three year tenure of PDP many revolutionary steps were taken to mitigate miseries of the masses. They further reminded the people that discrimination with Jammu region was removed only during the regime of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and mentioned various developmental projects initiated during PDP led regime in the State.
Party leaders said that since its inception, PDP has been propagating the pro-peace and pro-people policies. They said that Mufti Mohammad Sayeed is crusader of peace who has been working overtime to establish peace in Jammu and Kashmir in particular and this sub-continent in general. They further said that besides accelerating developmental activities, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed convinced both India and Pakistan to take confidence building measures for establishing lasting peace.
Cautioning people against some elements who have launched vicious campaign against PDP, they said that policies and programs of PDP were guided by the wishes and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Those who spoke included Trilok Singh Bajwa, Manjit Singh Ved Mahajan, Daman Bhasin, Thakur Balbir Singh, Shanti Devi, Baldev Singh Slathia, R K Bali, Falail Singh, Surjeet Kour, Deepinder Kour, Choudhary Chuni Lal, Chander Slathia, Devinder Sharma, A K Sawhney, Sohit Sharma, B D Gorkha and Sunita Bangotra.
Meanwhile the foundation day function was also held at Surankote under the leadership of Hamid Manhas and Dr Mumtaz Bukhari. At Poonch party leader Imtiyaz Bandey addressed a function in connection with foundation while as Bhalesa Parveen Akther presided over the function.
