| Vaishno Devi yatra resumes from old track after landslides | | |

The Vaishno Devi pilgrimage which was disrupted from old track due to landslides, resumed this morning for Bhawan in Trikuta Hills of Reasi district.
‘Yatra from an old track was interrupted following landslides near Sanjhi Chhat due to heavy rainfall last night,’’ sources said. They further added that to avoid any mishap en route Bhawan, the authorities halted the yatra on this traditional route and diverted the yatra towards new track from near Adh Kunwari.
Sources also said that the disaster teams with the help of Shrine Board officials cleared the track for smooth conduct of yatra, which was reopened thereafter.
‘’Apart from clearance of track, medical camps and other arrangements have also been put in place for the pilgrims,’’ an official added.
