JMC realises Rs 2500 fine from milk vendors for adulteration

Jammu, July 29: In continuation of its drive to check adulteration in the milk, a team of JMC officials led by municipal veterinary officer inspected various milk shops this morning falling in the areas of New Plot, Janipur, Chinor, Ban Talab, Muthi, Barnai, Rehari and Sarwal.
As per handout issued by press and media officer of JMC, Kamani Kesar, 70 milk canes of milk were checked out of which 18 were found adulterated and the JMC team destroyed them on spot. A fine of Rs 2500/- was also imposed on them.
Besides, this building operation controlling authority of JMC in a meeting took 84 building permission cases and cleared 75 cases. The building permissions cases cleared will generate revenue amounting to Rs. 10 lacs approximately for corporation, the release added.
