| BJP asks | | Are Muslims minority in J&K | |
Early Times Report Jammu July 30 Referring to the advertisement from Social Welfare Department mentioning Muslim Community as Minority in State, the BJP State Spokesperson (Adv.) Ramesh Arora has said that no sane person can say by any stretch of imagination that Muslims are minority community in the state. He said that recent advertisement published by state social welfare department inviting application for scholarship and for providing other benefits to minority community of the state is welcomed. ‘But, at the same time Social Welfare Department of the State has gone mental bankrupt by including Muslims as minority community in the state. Social Welfare Department is doing it on the instruction of the state and no person can say by any stretch of imagination that Muslims are minority community in the state, Arora said. Social Welfare Department of the state has already become a den of corruption and funds are misused required to be investigated and warrants action against the culprits. But by giving benefit to Muslims on the name of minority community in the state further expose the working of the "so called Social Welfare Department" rather it should be termed as personal welfare department or community welfare department instead of Social Welfare Department, he said. Arora warns the government to desist from playing communal politics and should see to it that hatreated is not created between the communities and benefits of Central schemes should be extended to the actual minority in the state.
