| Soz visits ‘Nilnag’ takes stock of ongoing conservation work | | | Early Times Report Srinagar, July 30: Member parliament (Rajya Sabha) and president Pradesh Congress committee Prof. Said-u-Din Soz accompanied by engineers and district officer of Budgam visited ‘Nilnag’ a famous spring and took stock of ongoing construction work for its conservation and expansion. An amount of Rs Seven crore are being spent on this project sanctioned by union ministry of water resources three years back. During the visit he also resolved dispute between the department and the people around Nilnag who wanted proper compensation for the land over which they had proprietary rights. Fortunately the people agreed with Soz and accepted the compensation from the department of irrigation. Prof Soz expressed satisfaction at the people of the area realized that once the conservation of Nilnag is completed it can be developed as a tourist resort and that situation will bring lot of physical relief to the people of the whole area. On this occasion he expressed great satisfaction and thanked the department of irrigation and revenue in expanding Nilnag that will now has a space.
