| Rattanpuri files papers for RS seat | | |

Srinagar, July 30- Mr. Ghulam Nabi Wani (Rattanpuri) today filled nomination for the Rajya Sabha seat from Kashmir that had fallen vacant due to resignation of Dr. Farooq Abdullah on May 16, 2009. He filed the nomination papers before the Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Mr. Mohammad Ramzan who is the Returning Officer.
Today was the last date for filing of nominations while the scrutiny of these would take place on July 31, 2009 at 11 a.m. August 1, 2009 is the date for withdrawal of nomination.
