| SSRB to told to expedite selection process of medicos | | | Early Times Report Srinagar, July 31- Minister for Health Sham Lal Sharma has directed the officers to expedite the process of filling-up the vacant posts under various categories in Health and Medical Education Departments. This, he said is necessary for improving the existing medicare facilities in the State. The Minister said that due to numerous vacancies in various institutions, medical services especially in Government Medical Colleges are badly affected. He called upon the functionaries of SSRB and Health & Medical Education to closely coordinate with each other and remove the bottlenecks in the way of early selection of referred posts. The Minister suggested for referring vacant posts to PSC/SSRB twice in a year for their timely filling up. The Minister was chairing a meeting of officers convened to take stock of the status of vacant posts and selection thereof by the PSC and SSRB. The Chairman, SSRB, B.D Bhagat informed the meeting that process of referred posts of Health and Medical Education has already been initiated and even interviews of some categories have been conducted. He assured to complete the process of selection of all the posts referred to the Board within one and half months.
