Kathua, Aug 3: One woman was killed and 17 others were injured, ten of them seriously, when a bus skidded off the road and fell down into a deep gorge in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir today, police said.
The bus which was on its way from Billawar to Kadli skidded off the road near Kadli, about 100 kms from here, and fell into the 200-meter deep gorge at around 1200 hours, they said.
One woman died on the spot and 17 others were injured, ten of them seriously, they said, adding the injured have been shifted to sub-district hospital at Billawar for treatment.
Earlier reports said 25 passengers were injured in the accident.
