Srinagar, Aug 3: Ghulam Nabi Wani (Rattanpuri) has been elected un-opposed as Rajya Sabha Member. The seat had fallen vacant due to the resignation of Dr. Farooq Abdullah on May 16, 2009.
The Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Mr. Mohammad Ramzan, who was Returning Officer for the election, declared the result at 3.30 PM in his office chamber, here today.
