| Bhim calls on Chidambaram | | | Agencies New Delhi, Aug 3- Prof. Bhim Singh, Chairman, National Panthers Party and Member NIC met P. Chidambaram, Union Home Minister here today and discussed the situation prevailing in Jammu and Kashmir following failure of the state administration to run the affairs resulting into anarchy. Syed Rafiq Shah, MLC and General Secretary of the party accompanied him. The meeting lasted for nearly 30 minutes. Prof Singh urged the Home Minister to provide security cover to the Panthers Party’s state, provincial and district office bearers who are engaged in political activities in the militancy prone areas of Jammu and Kashmir and whose security was removed by the Chief Minister. In a letter Prof Singh accused the state Chief Minister for adopting hostile attitude against Panthers Party activists with an intention to keep them away from political participation in the state. They also urged the Home Minister to convene a meeting of the representatives of the political parties of J&K to finally determine Centre-State relations by amending Article 370 so as to ensure equitable development of all the three regions of the state through reorganization on the basis of cultural, geographical and linguistic identity.
