| MLA Wani demands Central University at Doda | | | Early Times Report
Doda Aug 4: MLA Doda Abdul Majid Wani has raised on demand for establishment of Central University at Doda. He said that Jammu, Srinagar and few other cities have already well established Universities, Whereas the Chennb Valley Region of the state lacks facilities of higher education. For the last six decade, Doda district remained neglected as far as overall development work started during the last five years.
Wani said till date no university or institute of national repute has been set up in erstwhile Doda district. The state government should immediately take measures for setting up at least on Central University and two Engineering as well as two Mangement College in Doda. Being centrally located far both the provinces are concerned, Doda is best suitable for establishment of the Central University.
Wani expressed hope that the state government, under the leadership of Omar Abdullah, was committed for doing justice to all areas and laying forward its agenda of equitable development and removing regional imbalances with determination and zest.
