| Fake power of attorney prepared; Police books 3 for forging | | | Jammu, Sep 28 : Police has registered as case of fraud and forgery against three persons who allegedly forged power of attorney of a land owner in order to sell the land measuring more than seven kanals. Sources in the police departmentdisclosed that Police Station Gangyal has registered a case against Khazan Muhammad son of Abdullah of Malik Market, Narwal, Ghulam Nabi son of Muhammad Abdullah of Chamlias, Banihal and an unidentified person. The police has also started a man hunt so as to arrest the accused. It was reliably learnt that Muhammad Iqbal son of Choudhary Muhammad Din of Village Reka filed a written complaint before the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Jammu alleging that the accused have forged power of attorney in their favour in order to sell the land measuring 7 kanals and 7 marlas situated at Kaluchak. The complainant claimed that he was informed by Naib Tehsildar that some persons have approached the concerned Patwari for procuring Farad Intikhab of the land. After hearing the complainant the court had forwarded the complaint to SHO Gangyal for its verification and action. Sources informed that during the course of investigation the police has revealed that the power of attorney was executed by the accused by producing a copy cat before the sub registrar and forgoing the signatures of the complainant. The police has registered a case under section 120-B, 419, 465, 567 and 468 RPC against the accused and started their hunt. |
