| Set up sanctioned central university in Jammu: JKDF | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 4: The Jammu Kashmir Development forum (JKDF) have appealed to the prime minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi to intervene personally in establishing central university in the state, so that peace is maintained at all cost. Members of the JKDF in a meting expressed grave concern over the situation which is detenorating in Jammu. They urged to set up the sanctioned central university in Jammu in accordance with decision already taken by the previous congress led government and duly endorsed by the concerned authorities in Delhi. There was consensus in the meeting that the state government should send a right signal across the state and the nation if it implements the decision of the previous government in letter and spirit and establishes the equally prestigious Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) in Kashmir as already agreed upon both by the state government and the union government. It was pointed out in the meeting that an early action in this regard would go a long way in restoring peace and normalcy in Jammu province. Prominent among those who took part in the meeting were President of the JKDF Janak Raj Gupta, B.R. Kundal, Yogesh Sawhney, Inderjit Singh, Raj Kumar Sharma, Darshan lal Anand, Ved Prakash Bhagat, Ashwini Khajuria Dr. Bodh Raj Bhagat, Ramesh Badyal and S. Didar Singh.
