| Attempt to rape 5 yrs old girl; Police produces challan | | |
Jammu, Sep 28: Within three weeks since the registration of a complaint, police today produced challan against a labourer for attempt to rape a five years old girl at Gujjar Naggar locality in Jammu.
Police also produced the accused before the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jammu where the challan under section 376/511RPC was produced. The accused, sources told News Agency of Kashmir, have been identified as Parbhat son of Dhanardhan, a resident of Chatisghar at present Mohalla Ustad Jammu.
As per the police story, a woman Hajira Begum wife of Shiraz Mistri resident of Calcutta filed a written complaint before the police post Gujjar Nagar that her five years old daughter Fatima has been raped by the accused.
The police immediately arrested the accused and started investigation. A case under section 376 RPC was registered under FIR No 39/06 and investigation was started.
During the course of investigation Hajira Begum along with her husband and three minor daughters were living in a rented accommodation in the house of Mahmood in Gujjar Nagger locality. On September 9, 2006 the land lord had started some construction work in the house.
It was fond that on the fateful day the husband of the woman was out of the city and the woman was working in the house of neighbourers as maid servant. The victim Fatima along with her two years old sister was playing in the store room on the top floor of the house.
Though the younger sister returned back to her room, Fatima was untraceable. The investigation revealed that the eldest daughter of Hajira, identified as Yasmeen (12 yrs) came out in search of Fatima. She was shocked to see her being rapped by the accused in the store room.
The girl raised an alarm and saved her sister from the clutches of the accused. In the evening when Hajira returned back to home, the girl revealed the entire story.
Police said that during the investigation it was established that the accused tried to outrage the modesty of the minor girl but he failed in his nefarious designs. |
