| Sakina presents cheques to explosion affected family | | | Early Times Report Srinagar, Aug 4: Minister for Social Welfare, Ms. Sakina Itoo today visited the residence of Mr. Habiullah Wagay at Manzgam, Kulgam and condoled the sudden demise of his son, Mr. Abdul Hameed Wagay, who died in a gas cylinder explosion yesterday. District Development Commissioner, (DDC) Kulgam and District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO) Kulgam and other senior officers accompanied the Minister. The Minister expressed sympathies with the bereaved family and prayed for the eternal peace to the departed soul. The Minister on spot presented 2 cheques of Rs. 30,000 to the affected families. She also presented cheques worth Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 4,000 respectively on behalf of the Social Welfare and Revenue departments to the affected families for their rehabilitation. Sakina also issued instruction to the Health authorities for proper treatment of Sitara Begum W/O of the deceased, who also was injured in the incident. She also instructed Social Welfare authorities that the kids of deceased should be admitted in Markazi Falahi Itfal, Manzgan for free schooling, boarding and lodging. The Minister assured the affected family that all possible support would be provided for their rehabilitation. On the demand of the locals, the Minister assured that setting up of fire services station at Manzgam would be taken up with the concerned authorities on priority
