A 32-year-old person died after he fell from third floor of a hotel in downtown Srinagar today, police said here.
Vijay Kumar, a resident of Reasi district of Jammu region, fell from the window of his hotel room at Khayam in the wee hours today, they said, adding Kumar died on the spot.
His body has been sent for autopsy and a case under section 174 of CRPC has been registered, they added.
Kumar had checked into the hotel yesterday, they said, adding his room was locked from inside.
Whether he committed suicide or fell accidentally from the window will be probed, they said.
