SoS children celebrate Raksha Bandhan with Dy CM

JAMMU, AUGUST 05 (INFO)-On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, the children of SOS children village today celebrated Raksha Bandhan by tieing ‘Rakhies’ to Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Tara Chand at an impressive function held at his residence.
On the occasion, Mr. Tara Chand greeted the children on the day and said that the festival is a unique and distinctive feature of India’s cultural ethos, symbolizing the special bonds between brothers and sisters. He said that this festival has an added significance in the state. He hoped that this festival would usher a new era of peace, progress and prosperity and further strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, unity and harmony in the country. He said that the day donates the unlimited love between brothers and sisters depicting rich cultural ethos and heritage of the country.
Later, the Deputy Chief Minister also distributed fruits and sweets among the SOS children village and staff members.
Inchagre Youth SOS Children village, Jammu Mr. Anil Singh and SOS mothers Mrs. Radha Rani also accompanied the children.
