| Shun unwanted approach, work for people: Taragami to political leadership | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, Aug 5- Voicing concern over the war of words between ruling and opposition party leaders in Jammu and Kashmir, CPI (M) today asked the political leadership in the State to shun the path of unwanted approach and contribute whole heartedly to the development of the people and the state. Addressing a day-long workers’ convention at Kulgam in south Kashmir CPI (M) State Secretary Mohammad Yousuf Targami and MLA expressed dismay over vilification and deviation of political convictions by political parties. He asked the political leadership in the State to shun this unwanted approach and concentrate towards public concerns and contribute whole heartedly for the development of the people of the State. Tarigami said having divergent views on common issues and making allegations and counter allegations by the political parties was totally contrary to the political ethics and against the aspirations of the people. He said what happened in the recent days in Assembly was much bewildering and shameful. He said stalling the proceedings of the House by opposition and treasury benches by raising issues of least importance were not only wastage of time of the session but also neglecting the issues of public interest. ''This will leave a blot on the political canvass of the state,'' he said and hoped that the political forces would not repeat it and invite a bad name for the State. Tarigami said deriving political mileage out of political vilification and raising non-issues for the purpose was not suited to political battling.
