JAMMU, Aug 5: The 56th Mir (Panchari) Kesari Dangal, organized by Mir Dangal Committee in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association shall take place on August 18 at Sankari Devta in Panchari Block of District Udhampur.
Part of three-day Sankari Mela, dangal shall be held in the afternoon on the opening day.
A decision in this regard was taken in meeting held under the chairmanship of Shiv Kumar Sharma, president of the J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association. Among others present included Swantanter Dev Kotwal, chairman Sankari Devta Mela Committee, Krishan Singh (ex-Sarpanch), Lashman Singh, Rattan Singh, Dhani Ram, Gopal Singh, Falail Singh, Pt. Om Parkash, Dharam Singh, Dhayan Singh and Pritam Singh.
For smooth conduct of the event, Lashman Singh, Vijay Singh (Biju), Mohan Lal, Rattan Singh and Mohd Fareed have been nominated as technical officials.
It is expected that the dangal would cost the organizers about Rs 30,000.In this dangal, veteran wrestlers, ustads and coaches shall also be honoured.
