Srinagar, Aug 6- Kashmir University Vice Chancellor Prof Riyaz Punjabi today said that education is a continuous process and to benefit from it fully we must follow the new trends and changes in vogue worldwide. Prof Punjabi was interacting with the participants of the 21 refresher course in a meet organized by the Kashmir University’s Academic Staff College. More than a hundred University and college teachers were present in the interactive meet that was part of the 21-day workshop cum orientation course started by the Academic Staff College for the college teachers. “,” Vice Chancellor Prof Punjabi said.
In a reference to the academic staff collage of the Kashmir University, Prof Punjabi said that the Centre is playing an important role in teacher training which is very important for fetching the benefits of education to society. He stressed that the new issues should be dealt through new strategies and asked the organizers to reach teachers beyond Srinagar city and equip them with the latest trends in science and technology. Vic Chancellor highlighted the importance of Library Information Science and impressed upon the participants that they have to come out of the old traditional methods and race with the modern technology and teaching and research.
