Early Times Report
Srinagar, Aug 07 – The Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Mohammed Sagar has sought full cooperation from the opposition in running the proceedings of the House smoothly and assured that the government is open to accommodate the genuine demands put forth by the members. He said that misgivings can be rectified when the House is made the forum to address various issues raised by the members in a democratic atmosphere. However, he said, that the House can’t function smoothly if the members unnecessarily raise fingers on each other and try to settle scores.
While replying to a point raised by Mehbooba Mufti and Moulvi Iftikar Hussain Ansari during Zero House in the House today Sagar said public issues could be raised in the House in an amicable atmosphere and the same are discussed and responded appropriately by the government.
Intervening on the issue of resolutions, the Speaker asked the leader of opposition and other members to directly approach him so that the matter could be discussed and action taken accordingly.
