| NDP asks Govt. to come clear on CU issue | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 8- National Democratic Party (NDP) has urged the Chief Minister to set up Central University at the proposed site near Samba without wasting any time as the situation in Jammu region is worsening day by day. The Party in a meeting held under the chairmanship of its President Ravi Bakshi said that realizing the sufferings of the people and worst ever experience of last year's agitation over Shri Amarnath land row in which many lives were lost and traders suffered losses in crores ,the Government. must take immediate steps to avoid such situation. As per Central Government decision Central University must be set up in Jammu Division and IIM in Kashmir Division to respect the aspirations of people, Bakshi said. He said there should not be any confusion over the issue otherwise it would be too late to realize the ground realities. Students and people are on agitational path and a small spark may turn into large flame. The Government must display fairness in dealing with the situation, he added. The meeting was attended Sohan Singh, Vinod Jaral, R.K.Khajuria, S.C. Sharma, Ashok Kumar, Anand Gopal Mishra, S. Harcharan Singh, Bharat Bhushan Sharma, Manuj Sharma and Sukesh Gupta.
