| Zulfikar demands establishment of ECO Tourism Park | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Aug 8- MLA Darhal Chowhary Zulfizar Ali has demanded establishment of ECO Tourism Park at Kandi area which was agreed by the government to take up under RDA in the current year.
In a statement issued here today he demanded that the ECO Park should be established over a 273 Kanals of land through Rajouri Development Authority.
Demanding creating tourist infrastructure in different areas of Rajouri district, Choudhary Zulfikar pointed towards the condition of roads in the district. He demanded construction of road link to Nanga Thub to develop it as tourist destination. He said that Nanga Thub is beautiful tourist spot of Rajouri district and there is dire need to bring this place on tourist map.
He said that Minister for Tourism and Culture Nowaig Rigzin Jora has already accepted the demand and sanctioned Rs.15 lakhs for construction of this road but much more needed to be done.
He further said that infrastructure for tourists should be developed in this place which has huge tourism potential.
Strongly demanding amenities for the devotees of Shiv temple cave at Budhal, MLA Darhal said that large number of pilgrims from Rajouri and other parts of states visit this temple. He demanded construct of a track and dormitory for the pilgrims.
He also demanded that more areas to be explored as tourist destinations in the Rajouri . He demanded development authority at Kohri Hill, Kesari Hill, Nanga Thub, Danna Top, Darhal, Proori, and Patli Marg.
