| NCP demands fulfillment of Safai Karamcharies demands | | | Early Times Report
Katra, Aug 8- Nationalist Congress Party and the Shrine Board Safai Karamchari Union in a joint meeting held under the chairmanship of NCP district President Reasi, Surinder Kumar Gupta has demanded re-engagement of terminated Safai Karamcharies, grant of two and a half days pay for those working round the clock, implementation of SRO 43, grant of pensioners benefits and abolition of contractual appointments,
Addressing the meeting Gupta regretted that Shrine Board has not fulfilled the assurance given to the agitating Safai Karamcharies despite lapse of so many months. He said in case the Board authorities fail to address to their genuine demands, Safai Karamcharies would be forced to go for an agitation again for which the NCP will extend its full support.
NCP leader Ghulam Ali, President Shrine Board Safai Karamchari Union Raj Kumar and other office bearers also addressed the meeting and highlighted the problems of the
Karamcharies.
