| Army hold medical camp at Doda | | | Early Times Report Jammu, 08 Aug 2009 As part of civic action programme under Sadbhavana a Rashtriya Rifles unit under the White Knight Corps conducted a medical camp at Gei on 08 Aug 09 in Doda District of J&K to provide medical facilities to the people residing in the remote villages of the region. The medical camp was organized at village Gei in Doda District with the medical team comprising of specialists from the civil administration and the army. The presence of a Surgical specialist, Medical specialist and Dentist during the camp enabled conducting proper examination the elders and children. A lecture on the importance of hygiene and sanitation was also organized during the medical camp during which a large number of civilians had turned up. The tribal families belonging to the Bakkarwals and Gujjars community of nearby regions also availed the facility. Approximately 385 people were examined and the needy patients were given free medicines during the camp. The participants were grateful to the Army for organizing the medical camp in the tough and arduous terrain of Doda. The local populace and the district administration were deeply appreciative of the noble gesture of the Army.
