| DPS organizes ‘tent pitching’ | | | Early Times Report Jammu , Aug 8 Delhi public school organized “tent pitching” activity for scouts and guides on 30th July in which more than 250 students participated in this activity. On this occasion, principal, Delhi public school, Sudarshan Sonar, was the chief guest. The programme started with his address to the scouts and guides students. Team of Bharat scouts and guides was invited for this activity. Among them were S.Sehaj Singh (State training commissioner), Dr. Gurcharan Singh Ghai (state head quarter commissioner), R.P. Kotwal (district organizing commissioner). The activity was organized to teach children of scouts and guides, the art of tent pitching, which is very important during camping. The students pitched their tents patrol wise. The enthusiasm shown by the students in the activity of tent pitching was remarkable. The tents were inspected by principal sir and co-ordinators. Principal DPS Jammu landed the efforts of the visiting team and also put light on the role of Bharat Scouts and Guides in preparing children for all challenges of life. The students showed an overwhelming response to the activity. Sir thanked the visiting team and hoped for more such camps to be organized for the benefit of students in the school premises.
