Need to start employment-oriented courses: Minister

Srinagar, Aug 9 There is a need to start employment-oriented courses in colleges, Jammu and Kashmir Higher Education Minister Abdul Gani Malik said today.
"We have to put in strenuous efforts to make the educational system more meaningful and purposeful right from primary to college level and introduce courses which have good potential for employment opportunities," Malik said while addressing college Principals here.
The minister also formulated a consultative committee for Jammu and Srinagar divisions comprising senior college principals and Special Secretary Education as its head to suggest transfers of lecturers and introduce new subjects in colleges.
