| Gul pays obeisance at Baba Rishi Ziarat assures upgradation of facilities at the Shrine | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Aug 9: Advisor to the Chief Minister, Mubarak Gul visited Ziarat Baba Rishi in Gulmarg today and took stock of the facilities being provided to the pilgrims visiting the shrine.
Several deputations of the area also met the Advisor and apprised him about the hardships they are facing at the Shrine. The Advisor discussed the matter with the Management of Shrine.
Gul assured the deputations and the management of the Shrine that he will take up the matter with the Chief Minister, Omar Abduallah, who is also Chairman of the Waqaf Board and will request him for allocation of funds for construction of more Sarais, beautification of the area including construction of foot paths and providing street lights for the convenience of the piligrims.
Mubarak Gul further said that the District Administration Baramulla would also be asked to prepare a plan in this regard at the earliest so that the requisite funds are allotted and works started during the current financial year. He said that care will also be taken to preserve the environment of the Shrine as well as its surroundings.
During the visit, the Advisor directed Power Development Department to ensure un-interrupted power supply to the Shrine. He also asked the Public Health engineering Department for augmentation of drinking water supply to the Shrine.
