| Saroori inaugurates roads, buildings, in Chatroo | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, August 09 – During the hectic tour of his constituency, the Minister for Roads and building, Mechanical Engineering G. M. Saroori on Saturday inaugurated two link roads, three buildings constructed by R&B Chatroo and laid foundation stone for Inspection Hut at Mugalmaidan, estimated to cost over Rs 11 lakh. He also addressed a series of public meetings at Kurya, Dadpath, Mugalmaidan and Chatroo during the tour of the area.
The Minister was accompanied by the District Development Commissioner, Kishtwar, Provincial heads of R&B, PMGSY, Superintending Engineers, Executive Engineers, all district officers during the tour.
The works completed and inaugurated by the Minister have been executed by the R&B Division Chatroo, which includes two link roads, from Dadpath to Tagood casting Rs 100.45 lakh, Hurna, Mugalmaidan to Hurns costing Rs. 145.30 lakh with total length of 7 kms. These will provide transport facilities to 3000 souls of the twin villages of the Chatroo tehsil while the buildings consisting of meeting/VIP rest house and store building have been constructed at the total cost of over Rs 101.10 lakh.
Addressing the public meetings on way to Chatroo, the Minister urged to remain united and foist the evil designs of the forces inimical to the peace and progress of the state as a whole and cooperate with the government in its endeavour to usher the state into peace and prosperity under the present coalition dispensation. He said that the government is fully aware of the problems faced by the people living in far-flung areas and is allocating adequate funds for providing all basic needs of the people on top priority.
He also distributed regularization orders among 74 ReT teachers, and 9 ReT new appointments of Chatroo Education Zone.
Later, the Minister chaired a meeting of the officers in the newly constructed meeting hall and took sector wise development review of the Chatroo tehsil/block. He stressed upon the participants to accelerate the development process with special attention on PMGRY, roads rural sanitation programme, NREGS, works BRGF plan for the block, IAY/RHS beneficiaries coverage made in the Chatroo block.
