| Women playing important role in nation building: Indu | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 9: A meeting of Mahila Congress District Jammu rural Jammu was held today at Raipur Satwari on the eve of the celebration of Quit India Movement. MLA Indu Pawar was the chief guest on the occasion. While addressing the gathering Indu, said that our leaders started this Quit India Movement on 9th day of August, 1942 and on 15th day of August, 1947 we got independence and our Mahila leaders played a vital role which is in the history of India and can never be forgotten. She said that today the Indian womens are playing a positive role in all walks of life and because of this day we have a first women president of India and speaker of parliament house of India. She further said that our Congress party is committed for 33% reservation to women either in state assembly and also in parliament house and same will be get done soon. Among others present in the meeting were Bimla Devi, Salochana Devi, Veena Devi, Champa Devi and others
