Jammu, Aug 9: A delegation of women workers of National Conference (NC) from Batote and Chanderkot of district Ramban called on provincial president of NC women cell Laxmi Dutta here today.
During the meeting, Dutta said, NC party is committed to work for the upliftment of the women of the state. She further said, it was during Dr. Farooq Abdullahs regime that the reservation to women be given to strengthen the democracy. She said steps are on foot to ameliorate the problems of the women of the state.
Among others who were present in the meeting include Babar Ahmed, Babar Malik, Abdullah Aziz, Master Nazrat Ulla, Arif, Dilshad Malik, Lalita Sharma and J.K. Kour.
