| Gupta urges people, students don’t give car to false rumours | | |

Jammu, Aug 9: The provincial president of National Conference Rattan Lal Gupta, in a statement issued here today has made a appeal to be people of Jammu region, especially the student community not to get carried away by the false and concocted rumors regarding the establishment of the central university.
Gupta said some vested interest elements are trying to make issue out of non issue and want to disturb the peaceful atmosphere of the region by spreading false rumors and propaganda. He said government is very much committed about the establishment of the central university in Jammu region and for this very purpose a high level delegation of ministers led by the chief minister Omar Abdullah met the prime minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh and the union HRD minister Kapil Sibal, recently.
He said in view of positive response both from Prime Minister and HRD minister, we are confident of getting second central varsity for the state and the first foundation of the central university will be laid in Jammu.
