| Vet doctors deputation call on minister | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 9: A deputation of J&K veterinary doctors association Dr. H.T. Krishanan called on minister for animal & sheep husbandry Aga Sayeed Ruhulla Mehdi and apprised him about the problems faced by the veterinarians in the entire state. As per press release association pleaded for rectification of pay band error in SRO 93 regarding placement of Rs. 8000-13500 (per revised) junior doctors, decentralization of animal/sheep husbandry departments to panchayat levels by appointing panchayat veterinary officers of VAS rank, provision of hospitals with minimum infrastructure and residential quarters at each panchayat, redesignation of one posts of deputy director cadre, 21/2 days pay in lieu of essential series (maintenance) ordinance to all vets and paravets, NPA at par with central vet nomination for M.V.Sc on full pay, issue of license of medicine shops to retired vets and trained paravets, early holding of DPC and transfer of frozen posts of joint directors from sheep and sheep products development board to sheep husbandry deptt. The association had a thread bare discussion on all the issues and assured the minister for full co-operation in achieving the objective of self sufficient J&K state in milk and mutton production. The minister gave patient hearing and assured the association to look into their genuine demands personally. Secretary Ravi Thusoo was also present . The members who were in the deputation included Dr. R.K. Anand, Dr. Mohd Sajjad, Dr. Majid Malik, Dr. Kishore Bakshi, Dr. Sayed Zafar Ahmed.
