| JKNPP organizes protest demonstrations, threaten to intensify stir on CU issue | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 9- Panthers Party workers staged dharnas and demonstrations in different parts of the city of Jammu, Udhampur, Kathua, Rajouri, Samba and other places for the third consecutive day in support of establishment of Central University in Jammu region.
The speakers rejected the Congress ministers’ statement on Central University as a fraud on the people. They also demanded delimitation of Assembly constituencies and dismissal of the tainted ministers.
At City Chowk, hundreds of the PP workers burnt effigies of the Congress- National Conference Government accusing the two for playing fraud with the people of the state and looting the state exchequer and robbing the people.
In the meanwhile, the Panthers Party spokesman Bansi Lal Sharma declared that the Party shall continue the protests till tomorrow as symbolic but shall intensify the movement if the Central University is not granted to Jammu.
